Nooriyah, Ajukaja & Mart Avi and more to join the line-up for the Station Narva festival

Following the announcement of headliners James Lavelle, Acid Arab and Deki Alem, nine new acts, including Nooriyah, Ajukaja & Mart Avi and Tovarish Astronom join the Station Narva festival from the 7th to 10th of September in Estonia’s easternmost city of Narva.

Station Narva 2023 festival passes and day tickets are on sale via the TMW webshop and Piletilevi.

Taking place from the 7th to the 10th of September, the 6th edition of Station Narva presents music from near and far and explores the hidden gems of post-industrial Ida-Viru County. From ultra-modern alternative RnB to the 21st Century takes on ska and grunge, and a melange of left-field hip-hop, house, art pop and Arabic sounds– the line-up at Vaba Lava Narva and Art Club Ro-Ro on the 8th and 9th of September unites the heritage and future fusions of dance music from around the world.

Born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Japan and now based in the UK, Nooriyah, known for her work as DJ, producer and presenter, has spent the past decade championing sounds of the Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) region. She’s a founder of Middle of Nowhere, a project that merges unlikely musical worlds together. Her Boiler Room debut in 2022 achieved over 1,000,000 streams in the first 3 months and included an amalgamation of Arabic music, trap, Brazilian funk and dozens of other genres. Nooriyah has built a following that not only celebrates what she is creating but wishes to build it with her.

Ajukaja is the longest-serving slinger and shaker of the Estonian underground and the figurehead of the weird and wonderful Porridge Bullet label. Mart Avi is the swiftest-moving twilight samurai of avant-pop and a chap with a golden voice. Their combined joint takes pop and sends it off the beaten path with their very own brand of adventurous disco-not-disco.

An Istanbul-born multi-talent GØK2 will fill Art Club Ro-Ro with a heady mix of punk-hop, big beat and breakbeat. Indie supergroup Masha Ye’s goal is to “gift the audience an eternal summer” whilst Tovarish Astronom will treat Narva with nocturnal post-punk tunes. Completing the line-up is Analogue Quattro, the crew of four friends from Sillamäe, a former “closed town” and top secret uranium producer.

These artists will join the line-up of previously announced Mo’ Wax impresario and UNKLE founder James Lavelle from the UK, French electronic dance music crew Acid Arab, Swedish hip-hop-meets-grunge sensation Deki Alem, Ukrainian pop star Ivan Dorn and Dutch ska-rock band Bazzoookas, as well as Estonian RnB and pop, acts YASMYN, manna and IVI.

Station Narva 2023 festival passes are on sale at 45 euros via TMW webshop and Piletilevi. The day tickets for 8th and 9th September are on sale at 25 euros.
