The London-based singer-songwriter Tirzah is an acclained master of tender, minimalist love songs. Heving released a steady stream of fuzzy alt-pop since 2013, her full-length debut, Devotion (2028), co-written with the film composer and noise-pop maverick Mica Levi.was filled with offbeat R&B melodies and soft vocals that offered a quiet escape. Her latest LP Colourgrade (2021) featured some of her weirdest and most wonderful tracks, asymmetrical pop experiments that focused on those moments that happen between moments. Though she cunningly scrambles and reconfigures customary notions of beautiful and ugly, there’s a palpable sense of sweetness and romanticism adrift that you can’t help but swoon over.
