Great Western Courtyard of the Narva Museum

Ahead of this year’s festival, Station Narva held an open competition for urban art to find ideas to enrich the cityscape. The chosen winning project is is Narva resident and EKA master’s student Veera Gonchugova’s concept design “Street Library”. In addition to the chance to exchange and reuse books, the book exchange pavilion that will be opened on Thursday will offer locals a new community meeting place.

Opening of the exhibition “4 + 4 = infinity”

Before the beginning of the Business Day, the day will start at the creative incubator OBJEKT (Linda 2) main hall with the opening of the exhibition “4 + 4 = infinity” by the local Sillamäe artist Eduard Zentsik and OKAPI Gallery gallerist Temuri Khvingia’s curated exhibition that explores the opportunities presented by black and white photography. Participation free of charge.

Business Day

OBJEKT (Linda 2)

The Business Day, both on-site and online, brings together representatives of various fields, to support rethinking the business models of local companies, with the best experts in their field from Ida-Viru County and the rest of Estonia. The future of the Kreenholm culture quarter and the economic impact of cultural events will be discussed in the context of the fair transition process.

The event will wrap up at 17:00 with a presentation of the Baltic Film and Media School’s MEDIT VR application “Invisible Narva”, which takes viewers on a gamified virtual tour of pre-March bombing era Old Narva.

Narva Museum Art Gallery exhibitions

Permanent exhibition “Life or Karma? Narva Stories” and Boris Uvarov’s “White Line Observations”

The Narva Museum Art Gallery is showing the permanent exhibition “Life or Karma? Narva Stories” featuring nearly 200 works from the museum’s art collection. The gallery is also showing “White Line Observations”, a retrospective of the works of one of the region’s foremost artists, the recently departed Boris Uvarov.

Guided tours at Kreenholm Manufacturing Company, Narva Museum and Narva

Tickets for the Kreenholm Manufacturing Company tour and the city tour are €10 and are on sale through Piletilevi and at the Station Narva info desk, located at the entrance of the Narva Castle (Peterburi mnt 2). Narva Museum’s permanent exhibition tickets are €15 , free of charge to festival pass or ticket holders.

Music festival and night at the museum

This year’s main music venue is the Narva Museum, where 4 stages will be set up: the main stage in the Northern Yard, as well as in the Refectorium Hall, Reconditorium Hall and Dormitorium Hall.

The museum exhibitions will be open to visitors and local restaurants and food trucks will await the hungry in the courtyard of the museum.

In addition to musical experiences, the festival offers a rare opportunity to spend two adventurous nights at the museum. At dusk, when the museum’s premises are closed to regular visitors, the festival guests can experience a new interactive permanent exhibition in the recently restored convent building and take a look at the city of Narva and Russia from the ridge gallery. The music programme will also take place in the beloved and cosy Art Club Ro-Ro on both nights.

Dacha adventure

Vacationers at the unique dacha district of Kudruküla, located between Narva and Narva-Jõesuu, open doors to visitors. The 1.5-2h tours begin at 12:00, 12:30, 13:00 and 13:30.

PASSES AND TICKETS

Festival passes are on sale for 35 euros (45 euros during the festival week) and one day tickets for 6 or 7 August are 25 euros at Piletilevi.

Unless sold out, festival passes are also available on location.

The Festival Pass enables entry to the music festival at the Narva Museum (Peterburi mnt 2) and Art Club Ro-Ro (Jõe 2) on 6 and 7 August, as well as to the Business Day in OBJEKT (Linda 2) on 6 August. Business Day tickets are also sold separately for 15 euros, including a digital participation ticket for 5 euros. Admission to the Business Day is free for students and seniors. Registration is required.

Tickets for the Narva-style breakfast at the VitaTiim center are 5 euros. Registration is required.

Tickets to tours of the city are 5-12 euros. Registration is required.

The BAZAR talks, the opening of the urban art competition project, visits to the Narva Art Residency and city stage concerts are free to all.

The Festival Pass or one day ticket must be exchanged for a wristband at the Station Narva info desk located at the Narva Castle gate (Peterburi mnt 2).
