The third edition of the music and city culture festival Station Narva takes place in the easternmost Estonian city Narva on 26 and 27 August, leading up to the Tallinn Music Week (TMW) festival in the capital of Estonia on 27 – 30 August.

The heart of this year’s festival will be beating along the banks of the River Narva, with views across the Russian border to Ivangorod, the fortresses in Narva and the Port of Narva. The three concert stages will be set along the riverside promenade: an outdoor main stage, a stage at the cosy and bohemian Art Club Ro-Ro, and a stage in the historic cotton factory’s boathouses. To celebrate the opening of a new yacht port in Narva-Jõesuu, the Port of Narva will be open to small boats and yachts, and among other activities visitors can also enjoy fun boat rides on the river.

The festival will start on the morning of 26 August, with the Business Day networking event at the creative incubator OBJEKT, located in the Linda 2 centre. Participation at the presentations and in the workshops is possible either physically or virtually. In the afternoon, the event moves to the port area, with BAZAR talks and boat and yacht rides, attractions for children and youths, street food and cafes available to guests. Concerts along the riverbank start on Wednesday evening and run into the night.

On 27 August, free concerts and art exhibitions will take place all over Narva, and in the evening a special train will depart from the Narva train station to the capital of Estonia to join the TMW festival.
According to Jevgeni Timoštšuk, head of the festival’s Narva team, “Station Narva is one of the few regional festivals, which explores new locations and formats. I am glad that despite difficult times the festival will take place and both people from the city and our guests can discover Narva’s unexpected sides.”
Helen Sildna, head of Station Narva and TMW, adds, “This year’s festival has developed into something different than expected. Since TMW moved from its initial dates in March to August, it felt like the best course of action was to unify our teams and arrange both festivals in the last week of August.”

Station Narva and TMW will be organised in line with the rules in place for public events at the time of the event, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The Station Narva music programme is expected to include a public of circa 1500 persons.

Station Narva 2020 festival passes are on sale at Piletilevi online and sales points across Estonia 

The first 100 festival passes are on sale for 20 euros, after that for 25 euros.

A Station Narva supporter pass is also available for 100 euros. This pass includes a meet-and-greet with the festival’s team and supporters. Buying this pass will support organising the festival.

Station Narva is organised by Shiftworks in collaboration with the Narva team.
