SÕPRUSE PUIESTEE EE

Date: 22 September
Sõpruse Puiestee, the heroes of Estonian melancholy-rock, have been in the limelight for over 15 years now. Puiestee has largely persevered thanks to the work of two beacons – Allan Vainola with his simple, yet alluring guitar lines and Mait Vaik, responsible for the melancholy, ponderous lyrics. The band has released six albums and a DVD. Their “1905” was named the best song ever to be featured in the Estonian Public Broadcasting channel ETV’s show “7 vaprat“. The album “Selle suve nägu“, released in 2017, saw the band move from the measured electronica of their early days towards a more overflowing sound without forfeiting the balance of modern electronics and vintage melodies.
