Vaiko Eplik ja Eliit EE

In the course of two decades of his musical career, Vaiko Eplik – a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and living legend of the current generation of Estonian pop music – has played in various groups, released over 20 albums, produced music for many other artists and written a couple of thousand songs. The name of Vaiko Eplik signifies an authoritative symbol of style in the Estonian pop music landscape. Self-conscious, shrewd, sensitive, critical, poetic – his music embodies the distinctive sound of an era in Estonian popular music.

Station Narva will see Vaiko performing with his supergroup Eliit, featuring acclaimed Estonian musicians Sten Sheripov, Kostja Tsõbulevski and Kristjan Kallas alongside himself. Last October, Vaiko and Eliit released the full-length album “Lähen müüjaks”, which features lyrics based on texts by Estonian poetess Betti Alver. This is the first album that wasn’t created as Eplik’s solo project, but as a collaborative work by the ensemble. Naturally, in addition to the fresh music, Eplik’s best pieces throughout the years will also be performed.
