Alexander Motovilov EE
Alexander Motovilov crafts emotionally resonant piano music that speaks without words—and is heard by millions. With 55+ million streams globally, he’s become a distinctive voice in contemporary neoclassical music.
Trained as pianist and composer with two master’s degrees, he draws from Rachmaninoff’s lyricism, Satie’s simplicity, and cinematic composers like Richter and Zimmer. His goal: music that avoids avant-garde abstraction and neoclassical cliché, landing right in the listener’s chest.
His 2019 breakthrough came when self-released pieces hit major Spotify playlists like Peaceful Piano. Since then, his music has been featured on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and in films, theatre, and editorial content worldwide. Recent performances include Passionskirche (Berlin), Kaisersaal (Vienna) and Tallinn Music Week.
June 2025 brought his latest album, “The Encounter”, on Andante Piano/Warner Classics—reflecting the tenderness and honesty at his sound’s core.
