FREMEN is a music producer, composer and performer from Poland currently based in Tallinn, Estonia. FREMEN’s work focuses on exploring the effects of sound on human psyche and spirit. She firmly believes in both the healing as well as destructive powers of music, placing the timbre of sound and the rich potential of the female voice as focal points of her practice. Being especially fascinated by the role of sound in the rituals of indigenous societies, FREMEN aims to create a contemporary musical rite. Through blending extremes and raging against the boundaries of a standard electronic music performance she is set on providing a radical antidote to the self-destructive nature of our modern society. After all, in the face of climate apocalypse, the perverted myth of limitless growth and pandemic of social loneliness, the prospect of music healing us must be considered.
