Blankenberge is a shoegaze/dream pop band based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Consisting of vocalist Yana Guselnikova, Daniil Levshin on guitar and synths, Dmitriy Marakov on bass, and drummer Sergey Vorontsov, they came together to create dream-weaving and warm reverb-drenched, drone-raging songs that swell into soaring ethereal harmonies.

The story of Blankenberge started in 2015 in Barnaul, a small city in Siberia. Daniil and Yana, having returned from an inspiring trip around Europe, named their newly formed band after a little town in Belgium. Not less important was their impression from seeing the North Sea and its vast sandy beaches for the first time. The same year, they moved to Saint Petersburg. Besides beautiful and inspiring city it offered them some new band members.
Blankenberge’s first self-titled EP. loaded with free-formed post-rock compositions, intense melodic passages, heavy droning and pure shoegaze sound, saw the light of day in March 2016. 

In 2017, their debut Radiogaze was released to an instant international acclaim. In April 2019 sophomore album More followed. Keeping the overall attitude to sound and the music depth, the band tried to invent new structures in the songs — and succeeded in a most beautiful and elegant manner.
